
More About Arvin
Arvin Joaquin is an award-winning journalist, editor, and producer. He is currently the producer of OMNI News: Filipino Edition, Canada’s only daily national Filipino-language newscast. Before that, he was a senior reporter at The Canadian Press, an associate editor at Xtra Magazine, the writer of the Digital Publishing Award-winning newsletter, Xtra Weekly, and the founding editor of the Xtra column, Love Like Mine. He was also an associate producer for Global News’ The West Block.
His work has also appeared in Huffington Post, CityNews, CTV News, CBC News, and more. You can check some of his published works here.
Arvin holds a Master of Journalism from Carleton University and a BA (Honours with Distinction) in Communication and Sociology from Simon Fraser University.
